Australian Energy Market Operator in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead end-to-end audits, deliver the risk-based audit plan, and provide independent assurance across the organisation.

You will leverage data analytics, IT risk management, and governance frameworks to identify improvements, strengthen controls, and influence decision-making in a dynamic energy sector environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in IT, computer science, accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA or CISSP highly regarded.
• Experience delivering internal audit, risk, assurance, or compliance engagements in regulated environments; energy sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, scoping, testing, reporting, and management-action agreements.
• Develop and deliver the Internal Audit Plan with stakeholders to identify risks and build the audit universe.
• Evaluate design/effectiveness of operational, financial, and IT controls with practical recommendations.
