Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking an Analytics Specialist to embed a data-driven culture within the Group Internal Audit (GIA) function. You will deliver in-depth analyses to support risk assessment, planning, and real-time data-led insights across APAC, collaborating with audit teams and senior management.

The role requires strong data analytics, SQL, Power BI, and VBA capabilities, plus leadership experience and a background in internal audit or risk analytics. Hybrid work in Melbourne is offered.

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ experience applying data analysis and data visualisation techniques.
• Experience in business-facing roles collaborating with diverse stakeholders to explain analytics clearly.
• Advanced Excel user with VBA modelling experience.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to manipulate large datasets.
• Background in Internal Audit or risk-based analytics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work with audit teams to manage data analysis as part of internal audit work portfolio.
• Deliver insightful analysis enabling audit teams to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with Heads of Audit on data collection and analysis for continuous auditing and planning insights.
• Develop and present data analytic engagement reports to senior management.
• Educate and develop GIA team on data analytics methodologies and tools.
• Lead and manage Assurance Analyst.
