Job summary

Great Southern Bank is seeking an Internal Audit Advisor based in Brisbane and Sydney to support our purpose of helping Australians own their homes. You will partner across the business to deliver risk-based audits, advise on controls, and strengthen governance.

Join a team focused on continuous improvement of audit processes, stakeholder relationships, and a rolling audit plan. CPA/CA/CIA/IIA qualifications welcome; hybrid work with flexibility to work from home two days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in internal audit, risk, assurance, financial services or professional services.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify risks and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders and building productive working relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings.
• CPA, CA, CIA, IIA qualifications (or progress towards completion) will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk-based internal audits from planning through reporting and follow-up.
• Identify, analyze and assess risks and controls, providing practical recommendations."
• Build trusted relationships with leaders across the business to support risk management and control practices.
• Contribute to the development of the rolling internal audit plan and continuous improvement of audit processes.
