Job summary

Auto & General is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to support the Group Internal Audit team in Brisbane. You will lead and execute audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas, applying auditing standards and risk assessment practices.

You will use data analytics, prepare clear reports with root-cause analysis, and collaborate with business units to implement corrective actions. The role offers work-from-home options up to two days a week and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Social Sciences or related field.
• Progress towards CA/CPA/CIA/CISA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal auditing or related field.
• Strong analytical and report writing abilities with good communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and familiarity with global auditing standards.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of Australian regulatory landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Utilise data analytics to identify risks and inform audit planning.
• Perform audit testing, review documents, interview staff and observe operations.
• Prepare audit reports with root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Support risk management by assessing compliance with laws and internal policies.
