Job summary

SafetyPeople partners with a major Victorian emergency services organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Injury Management Advisor in Melbourne. The role focuses on coordinating rehabilitation, early intervention, and resolving sensitive claims with a patient-centred approach.

You'll work to improve injury management processes, advise on fitness for duty, and collaborate with leaders, insurers and providers to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (desirable).
• Strong injury management and RTW experience.
• Knowledge of Victorian WorkCover legislation.
• Experience handling complex and disputed claims.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• RTW certification or equivalent experience is ideal.
• Background in emergency services or government is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex WorkCover and psychological injury claims.
• Coordinate return-to-work and recovery plans.
• Support disputed claims and legal proceedings.
• Advise on medical screening and fitness for duty.
• Partner with leaders, insurers and rehabilitation providers.
• Improve injury management processes and outcomes.
