Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a Senior Aboriginal Development Advisor to join the Fortescue People Team. Working at a senior advisory level, you'll partner with senior leaders, HR Business Partners and operational teams to shape and deliver initiatives that attract, retain and develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Aboriginal workforce development and community engagement.
• Qualifications in HR/Aboriginal affairs or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience advising stakeholders and delivering programs across multiple teams.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and support culturally inclusive practices.
• Strong cultural competency and commitment to First Nations self-determination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with Indigenous communities and employees.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Workforce Development: advise on recruitment, retention and development for Aboriginal employees.
• Case Management & Retention: provide support to VTEC and NTI participants including wellbeing and planning.
• Program Development: coordinate Indigenous workforce development programs across sites.
• Stakeholder Engagement: build relationships with Traditional Owners and HR Partners to support inclusion.
• Culturally Informed Advice: provide guidance on participant support and career progression.
• Organisational Development & Inclusion: integrate Indigenous perspectives in people initiatives and leadership development.
• Data, Reporting & Insights: maintain program data and report outcomes.
