Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management is required.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Indian cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented to the highest quality and in a timely manner.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring a smooth operation.
• Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper cleaning and sanitization procedures.
• Manage stock inventory and ordering raw materials of high quality, store food properly.
