Job summary

Intertek Minerals Australasia seeks a Senior HR Advisor to partner with leaders across laboratory, technical and mining operations. This role combines strategic and operational HR support, ensuring compliant, practical people solutions for a dispersed workforce.

You will manage complex employee relations matters, lead investigations, drive workforce planning, and support change initiatives while travelling to regional laboratories as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex employee and industrial relations matters.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and supporting evidence-based, procedurally sound outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, modern awards and employment conditions.
• Experience supporting operational, industrial, manufacturing, mining, laboratory, logistics or similarly complex workforces.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across multiple operational sites to deliver practical and commercially focused HR solutions.
• Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations and dispute resolution.
• Coach and support managers through difficult conversations and workplace challenges, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
• Lead and support workplace investigations, including fact-finding, documentation, procedural fairness and outcome recommendations.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational capability, recruitment, succession planning and talent management initiatives.
• Support organisational change, restructures, workforce transitions and business improvement projects.
• Facilitate employee engagement, leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
• Analyse workforce trends, risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, modern awards, company policies and governance requirements.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, systems, processes and reporting.
