Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited in Queensland is seeking a senior HR advisor to join our South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight). You will partner with site leaders, deliver end-to-end HR support including workforce planning, ER/IR matters, and leadership development, and mentor the HR team to drive commercially astute people outcomes.

Senior HR support will influence workforce strategy and site-level people initiatives while ensuring compliance with Australian employment

Qualifications

• Senior HR advisory or business partner experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and ER/IR matters.
• Ability to influence senior leaders on people and culture matters.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to site leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, ER/IR and performance management.
• Lead and project-manage organisational change from planning to implementation.
• Provide senior guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations.
• Champion employee engagement programs across the site.
• Shape talent strategy, succession planning and leadership development.
• Mentor and guide junior HR team members.
• Deliver commercially astute HR advice aligned to site objectives.
• Build credible relationships with senior site leaders and escalate people matters as needed.

Job description

Reporting directly to the HR Superintendent, this is a senior, hands-on role providing trusted, end-to-end HR partnership to site leaders, with real influence over how workforce and people strategy is shaped and delivered on site.

We're currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight)

Responsibilities

• Acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner to operational leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations and performance management
• Leading and project-managing organisational change initiatives, from planning through to implementation
• Providing senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations and higher-risk casework
• Championing and evolving employee engagement programs across the site
• Shaping talent strategy, succession planning and leadership development for a growing operation
• Mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to other HR team members
• Delivering HR advice that is commercially astute, practical and aligned to broader site and business objectives
• Building strong, credible relationships with senior site leaders and acting as a key point of escalation for people matters

Experience/Skill

• Substantial experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role, ideally within mining or heavy industry
• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including experience managing complex ER/IR matters
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders on people and culture matters
• Experience with HR Information Systems, preferably SuccessFactors
• A track record of leading projects and delivering outcomes autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset, sound judgement and a genuine passion for continuous improvement
