Job summary

MC Group in Queensland is seeking an experienced grader operator to lead a civil crew on road construction and earthworks around Townsville. You will operate a final trim grader, read plans and levels, and communicate tasks clearly to operators and labourers while working with the Supervisor to keep work safe, efficient and to design tolerances.

This is ongoing, with regional projects, overtime opportunities and a practical, hands‑on management team supporting your development.

Qualifications

• Strong, proven final trim grader experience.
• Experience using GPS and/or UTS machine control.
• Understanding of road construction, pavement and earthworks.
• Experience leading civil crews and directing workers.

Responsibilities

• Final trim grader operations
• GPS and/or UTS machine control
• Directing and coordinating the civil crew daily
• Allocating work to operators and labourers
• Coordinating trucks, excavators, rollers and other plant
• Planning and sequencing daily activities with Supervisor
• Road formation and pavement construction
• Bulk earthworks and civil construction
• Trimming to design levels and tolerances
• Reading plans, levels and job requirements
