Job summary
Industrial Scientific, a Fortive company, seeks a Senior Service Engineer to lead advanced technical support, repair, calibration, commissioning, and customer success across Australia and New Zealand from the Perth Service Centre.
You will serve as the senior technical resource for customers, distributors, field personnel, and internal teams, delivering hands-on expertise, training, mentoring, problem resolution, and support for connected safety solutions including iNet and related software
Qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, or trade qualification in engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' industrial instrumentation, service, or field support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting across electronic, mechanical, and software systems.
- Experience supporting industrial customers in mining, oil & gas, or utilities.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and travel across AU/NZ.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, calibrate, and certify gas detection products per standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and on-site commissioning.
- Lead technical training and mentoring for technicians.
- Support customer success through field visits and remote assistance.
- Collaborate with Service Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure quality.
