Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Fire Protection Engineer in Canberra to lead fire protection design across major building and infrastructure projects. You will balance hands-on technical delivery with leadership, client engagement and discipline development within a national team.

You will drive high-quality fire protection solutions for defence, education, health, commercial and aviation sectors, mentoring engineers and coordinating with 다양한 teams to deliver integrated building solutions.

Qualifications

9+ years of Fire Protection/Services Engineering experience with strong design & delivery capabilities.
Proven experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong knowledge of wet and dry fire protection systems and related EWIS
Experience managing client relationships and contributing to bids and business development.

Responsibilities

Lead fire protection design and delivery across complex projects from concept to construction support.
Provide technical input across fire protection systems including hydrants, sprinklers, detection and EWIS.
Ensure design compliance with NCC and Australian Standards; uphold safety and quality.
Mentor engineers and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural teams to deliver integrated solutions.
