Zusammenfassung

Aurecon is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer in Sydney to lead design and execution of fire protection systems on major projects. You will develop active fire protection schemes, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

You will bring at least 5 years of experience and strong knowledge of NCC standards, with a proactive, solution-focused approach to complex building projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering or Diploma in Fire Protection Services (required).
• Strong knowledge of NCC and Australian fire protection standards/regulations.
• Experience in fire protection consultancy/industry projects and client-facing roles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong report writing.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Fire Protection System Design – develop and deliver active fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, detectors, alarms).
• Sprinkler System Design – hydraulic calculations, layouts, and documentation per standards.
• Design Coordination – coordinate with Digital team and other engineering disciplines; resolve clashes.
• Technical Documentation – prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, reports.
• Project Delivery – support design through tender, construction, commissioning, close-out.
• Site Inspections & Construction Support – review installations and resolve design queries.
• Technical Support & Quality – apply design procedures and quality processes across projects.
• Collaboration – work with PMs, design managers, engineers, contractors and clients.
