Job summary

AECOM in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the national Building Engineering team. You will work on a variety of projects providing technical fire protection design services from concept through construction and commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years' experience, a relevant engineering degree with professional registration (RPEQ preferred). You will design fire suppression, detection, evacuation systems, and ensure compliance with NCC and Australian Standards while

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Fire Protection Engineer in an engineering consultancy or contractor with design focus.
Relevant engineering degree with professional registrations (or eligible to hold), including RPEQ.
Understanding of Fire Suppression Systems, Fire Detection & Alarm, Hydrants & Hose Reels, and high-level networking infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver fire protection solutions from concept through construction and commissioning.
Design and implement fire hydrant and hose reel systems, sprinklers, and alternative suppression systems.
Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and local authority regulations.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large projects to deliver integrated protection solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence across projects.
