Job summary

Icon Water is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Customer Delivery) to partner with leaders across the business, deliver commercial insights and robust financial analysis that drive decisions. As the Senior Financial Analyst (Customer Delivery), you will partner with leaders across the business to provide commercial insights, financial analysis and performance reporting that influence decision-making and improve business outcomes. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of a major operational portfolio, supporting initiatives that help shape the future of Canberra's essential infrastructure.

What You'll Bring

You are a commercially minded finance professional who can translate financial data into practical business insights. With strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach, you build trusted relationships, influence decision-making and help drive performance improvements across the business.

You enjoy working in a dynamic operational environment and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that delivers services essential to the Canberra community.

Success in this Role Will Be Supported By

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.


• CPA or CA ANZ membership, or progress towards completion.


• Experience in finance business partnering, management accounting, commercial analysis or a similar role.


• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, financial performance reporting and analysis.


• Experience supporting business cases, investment decisions and commercial initiatives.


• Knowledge of procurement, contract management and commercial governance principles.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.


• Experience working with large ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
