The Bethanie Group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support residents at the Bethanie Support Service Office in West Perth. This full-time role (38 hours per week) focuses on month-end processes, statutory reporting, and treasury management within a not-for-profit aged care setting.

You will bring 5+ years’ accounting experience, CA/CPA, and strong technical and communication skills. Police clearance is required; aged care experience is highly regarded.

• Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience with strong technical accounting and financial reporting
• Confident communicator with strong organisational skills and teamwork
• Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

Responsabilidades

• Lead the month-end and balance sheet reconciliation processes and support timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements, audit working papers and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for stakeholders including statutory, regulatory and tax reporting.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on complex accounting matters.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity, investments, debt and covenants for treasury management.
• Provide guidance, coaching and review across the accounting team.
• Maintain strong financial controls and contribute to improving Bethanie’s controls framework.
• Contribute to improvements in financial processes and reporting

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to provide daily support to our residents at the Bethanie Support Service Office in West Perth.

This role is offered on a full-time Basis, 38 hours per week.

The Role

• Leading the month-end and balance sheet reconciliation processes, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements, audit working papers and technical position papers, and coordinating the external audit process.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including statutory, regulatory, prudential and tax reporting.
• Providing technical accounting expertise and advice across complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts and monitoring liquidity, investments, debt and covenant requirements to support effective treasury management.
• Providing technical guidance, coaching and review across the financial accounting team.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the continuous improvement of Bethanie’s Financial Control Framework, policies and procedures.
• Contributing to improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting.

About You

• Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting, with CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, with strong technical accounting, financial reporting, analytical and problem-solving capability.
• A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage prioritises, coach and support team members and work collaboratively across the business.
• Current Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one, is required
• Aged care or community care experience is highly regarded.
