Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Field Welding Engineer to lead the welding program on the Eva Copper Project in Cloncurry, QLD. You will manage the welding lab, PWHT coordination and ensure compliance with project codes, procedures and safety requirements.

You will provide expert welding guidance to field teams, ensure training and certification, and collaborate with subcontractors to meet cost and schedule targets. This full-time role requires Australia work authorization and site access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering with 5–8 years’ experience.
• Experience in heavy construction welding in large projects.
• Knowledge of Bechtel welding procedures and standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain site access in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement and maintain global construction field welding programs.
• Inspect and monitor welding test lab, rod room and heat treatment.
• Provide technical welding guidance to field teams and crafts.
