Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Canberra is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of client properties and lead a team of three Facilities Managers and one Facilities Coordinator. The role involves day-to-day facilities management, safety, compliance, and performance reporting.

You will direct maintenance programs, manage budgets, and ensure service levels while liaising with clients, landlords, and service partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Facilities Management.
• Experience leading and developing facilities management teams.
• Strong understanding of hard FM services, building services, maintenance, compliance, and asset management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
• Commercial acumen with budgeting and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client properties and ensure effective day-to-day facilities management delivery.
• Oversee reactive and planned maintenance programs, contractor performance, and service quality.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and after-hours operational issues.
• Coordinate recovery plans and engage specialist contractors when required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead client meetings and provide clear operational updates and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery against agreed service levels.
• Oversee annual property inspections and compliance activities.
• Maintain asset registers and lifecycle planning for building plant and equipment.
