Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance across building systems, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general facilities tasks. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety standards are followed on site.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of maintenance experience, plus basic MS Office skills and a proactive approach to problem solving in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general building systems.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical and general building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify faults and complete straightforward repairs.
• Maintain building assets such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks and other general facilities equipment.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders, update maintenance records and track jobs through to completion.
• Respond to maintenance issues and follow identified defects through to resolution.
• Support contractors onsite and ensure work is completed in line with site safety requirements.
• Help ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently and comply with applicable codes and safety procedures.
• Follow established procedures and communicate maintenance issues and updates clearly.
