Job summary

EnergyAustralia Pty is seeking a senior Digital UX/UI Designer to lead the foundations and components of the design system for the Customer Transformation squads. The 24-month max-term role partners with the engineering PO to deliver a coded library and high-quality customer-facing experiences.

You will design system tokens, components and documentation, ensuring accessibility and coherence across squads, while applying AI as a design material where it adds value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing digital products end-to-end with measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on design and testing of customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience building and running a design system.
• Systems thinking for reuse and coherence across surfaces.
• WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility knowledge and testing.
• Fluent use of AI as a design material where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain design system foundations: colour, typography, spacing, elevation, iconography and motion.
• Design each component based on how customers behave with it, including validation and feedback.
• Maintain documentation that lets designers and engineers use components without questions.
• Collaborate with CTX squads and engineering product owners to deliver a coded library.
• Apply accessibility best practices and ensure coherence across surfaces.
