Job summary

EnergyAustralia is seeking a senior Digital UX/UI Designer for Customer Apps on a day-rate contract. The role focuses on usability and interface quality across web and mobile apps, ensuring flows remain coherent across states.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and experiment to iterate designs, including AI-assisted design processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing digital products end to end with measurable outcomes.
• Strong craft in interaction and interface design and prototyping using Figma.
• Experience with component-based design systems and React Native.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility and regulatory constraints in energy contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design digital experiences across web and app, covering flows, IA, states and edge cases.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and leadership to translate direction into buildable interfaces.
• Optimize live experiences via usability testing and analytics; treat design as a hypothesis.
• Document design artefacts, decisions and rationale in the squad’s tooling.
• Apply AI to research synthesis, concept generation and prototyping to accelerate solutions.
