Job summary

Redpath Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Sydney head contractor team. You will own tenders from review to submission, work directly with the Director on bid strategy, and lead planning, pricing, and subcontractor engagement.

The role offers exposure to commercial risk, value engineering and a direct path to influential decision-making. You will mentor junior estimators, cultivate subcontractor relationships, and ensure smooth handover from tender to delivery within

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an Estimator / Senior Estimator with a head contractor
• Proven experience independently managing competitive tenders
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability and commercial risk
• Established subcontractor relationships across the Sydney market
• Confident communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to the broader estimating team

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tenders from initial review through to submission
• Work directly with the Director on bid strategy, risk and commercial positioning
• Lead tender planning, trade letting strategy, scopes and subcontractor engagement
• Review pricing, identify risk and value-engineering opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the subcontractor market
• Mentor and support less experienced members of the estimating team
• Work closely with construction teams to ensure strong handover from tender through to delivery
• Be part of a business with an established pipeline and continued growth plans

Job description

An opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to join an established Sydney head contractor with a strong pipeline of upcoming work and a well-resourced pre-construction team.

This isn't a role where you'll be buried in a large estimating department. You'll work directly with the Director, alongside two experienced Estimators, with a Junior Estimator also being added to the team.

You'll have genuine ownership of tenders, input into bid strategy and the opportunity to play a key role in how the business secures its next stage of projects.
