Job summary

HRG is seeking an experienced Senior Data Storage Solution Engineer to lead enterprise storage architectures and pre-sales activities. You will translate complex requirements into robust storage solutions and collaborate with customers, sales teams and technology partners throughout pre-sales and delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise storage, solution design or pre-sales engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, backup and data protection technologies.
• Experience designing complex enterprise storage solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales from discovery through to design.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, solution architectures and tender responses.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ storage, backup, disaster recovery and data protection requirements.
• Design complex enterprise storage solutions across SAN, NAS, backup and related technologies.
• Perform solution sizing, capacity planning, performance analysis and product configuration.
• Lead customer technical discussions, workshops, product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.
• Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, bills of materials and tender responses.
• Provide specialist storage expertise to sales and broader infrastructure solution teams.
• Work with technology partners and delivery teams to validate solution feasibility and support implementation.
• Develop strategies covering storage migration, consolidation, upgrades and disaster recovery.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging storage technologies and competitor solutions.
