Job summary

Huawei Australia is seeking a Senior Data Storage Solution Engineer to provide specialist technical leadership for enterprise storage and data protection solutions. You will work with customers, sales teams and partners to understand requirements, design complex storage architectures and support pre-sales and delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities include sizing, performance analysis, capacity planning, leading solution workshops and creating proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant experience in enterprise storage, solution design, pre-sales engineering or technical consulting.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, backup and data protection.
• Demonstrated experience designing complex storage solutions and supporting enterprise sales opportunities.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, solution architectures and tender responses.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with customers and provide technical leadership across internal and partner teams.

• Develop storage migration, consolidation, upgrade and disaster recovery strategies.
• Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain knowledge of industry developments, emerging storage technologies and competitor solutions.
