Transport for NSW, Sydney Metro, is seeking a Senior Manager Engineering for a fixed-term role through to 30 June 2031. You will lead multi-disciplinary engineering design assurance across Civil, Structures, Track, Mechanical, Electrical and signalling to deliver safe, compliant solutions for major rail projects.

You will coordinate engineering specialists, develop governance and reporting, prepare board papers, and mentor engineers while supporting operations and maintenance in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in an engineering design management role supporting multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in rail.
• A proven ability to manage technical, commercial and stakeholder challenges and drive resolution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to build trusted relationships.
• Commitment to people development and building engineering capability.
• Result oriented with urgency and ability to influence others.
• Rail Safety Worker status under Rail Industry Worker Scheme.
• Tertiary qualifications in related engineering discipline.

Responsabilités

• Provide engineering management to respond to Project, Enterprise and Board requests.
• Coordinate engineering specialists to deliver timely scoping, program and cost estimates.
• Support Metro Operations through defects management coordination.
• Contribute to engineering governance processes across the project lifecycle.
• Guide teams leveraging railway engineering knowledge across disciplines.
