SMEC is seeking a Senior Engineer / Project Manager to lead end-to-end rail infrastructure projects from North Sydney or Parramatta. You will apply innovative and practical methods to deliver complex, high-priority programs, directing multi-disciplinary teams and driving successful outcomes for clients.

You will oversee governance, performance, risk, and commercial success while mentoring staff and building strong relationships with key stakeholders across major infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering Rail infrastructure projects within an engineering design consultancy.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience managing Rail infrastructure projects.
• High level communication skills to advise and guide project design development.
• Extensive experience in management, design and delivery of complex projects of national significance.

• Provide project management and governance of complex projects to achieve reliable performance.
• Source, build and maintain strong client relationships through successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership to employees on the project to ensure cohesion and development.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to maintain quality and timely deliverables.

• Support bids, tenders and proposals with internal teams to align with client requirements.
