Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Senior Manager Engineering for a fixed-term role in Sydney. You will lead engineering design management across multi-disciplinary rail projects, coordinating specialists to deliver compliant technical solutions and governance across the project lifecycle.

You will report to senior leadership, drive workforce development, and ensure alignment with safety and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong focus on delivery, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in an engineering design management role on multi-disciplinary rail projects.
• Ability to lead, communicate, and manage stakeholders across delivery and operations.
• Tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in hybrid arrangement with central Sydney location.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering specialists to deliver on time and within budget.
• Support governance processes and systems across the project lifecycle.
• Respond to Board and enterprise requests with reports and presentations.
• Lead and mentor engineers to develop talent.
