Job summary

Future You is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant for a 3-month contract on a hybrid basis in Sydney. You will manage complex ER matters from end to end and provide practical advice to leaders across a large workforce.

You will conduct workplace investigations, handle disciplinary matters, and support leaders on performance concerns while collaborating with People & Culture stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Employee Relations, Legal or related field.
• 5+ years' ER advice experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Experience managing ER matters end-to-end.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances and terminations.
• Experience conciliating with Fair Work Commission or other employment tribunals.
• Strong stakeholder management with leaders at all levels.
• Excellent judgement, communication and problem-solving.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations matters from initial advice through to resolution.
• Manage employment-related disputes, including Unfair Dismissals, General Protections claims, Stop Bullying and Stop Sexual Harassment matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations involving bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, racism, vilification and victimisation.
• Manage disciplinary and conduct matters from informal conversations through to formal action and termination.
• Provide practical guidance and coaching to leaders managing performance concerns.
• Support the management of employees on long-term sick leave.
• Act as an escalation point for other ER team members, providing guidance and coaching as required.
• Provide advice and support to leaders and stakeholders across different areas of the organisation.
• Contribute to ER projects, including leader training, policy reviews and continuous improvement of case management processes and documentation.
