Job summary

Highpoint Engineering Recruitment is assisting a respected Brisbane-based consultancy to appoint a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer for building services. You will lead design and delivery of electrical building services across major projects from concept to construction, collaborating with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience in building services consulting.
• Delivering large, complex projects in Transport, Hospitals/Health, Education, Defence or Government infrastructure.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems including: Power distribution, Lighting and lighting controls, Emergency and standby power, Communications and ICT infrastructure, Security and access control systems.
• Manage projects, budgets, resources and client expectations.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across project teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers.
• Support business development activities and contribute to winning new work.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across major infrastructure and building projects.
