Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to deliver diverse infrastructure projects across North Queensland. Based in Cairns, Mackay or Townsville with hybrid work, you will lead electrical design, documentation, and project management for buildings, water, transport, defence, mining and more.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients and authorities, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and ensure quality, safety and sustainability in every solution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as Electrical Engineer in Building Services
• RPEQ or equivalent registration (CPEng/RPEV)
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes, regulations and renewable energy solutions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, AGi32/DIALux and MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and liaise with authorities and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative electrical design for diverse building projects in North Queensland
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver sustainable, future-ready solutions
• Provide technical leadership and client liaison, preparing proposals, reports and cost estimates
• Drive project success from concept to completion, ensuring quality, safety and client satisfaction
