Job summary

Airswift is recruiting a Senior Electrical Designer for a major iron ore mining EPCM project based in Perth. You will design electrical systems up to 33kV, review vendor docs, run power system studies and develop MTOs.

The role requires 8–12 years’ WA mining experience, an Australian 4‑year engineering degree, and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to deliver technically complex outputs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
• 8–12 years WA iron ore or similar industry experience.
• Experience with High Voltage and LV systems up to 33kV.
• Experience reviewing vendor technical documents and drawings.
• Experience supporting studies and developing MTOs and lists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical design documentation and drawings
• Review vendor technical documentation and design deliverables
• Support power system studies including load flow, short circuit and harmonic analysis
• Prepare cable sizing calculations, cable schedules, MTOs and equipment lists
• Ensure compliance with Australian and international standards and codes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
