Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer based in the Perth CBD for a 12-month contract to lead detailed design of substation packages. The role covers HV and LV systems integration to meet reliability, performance, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include detailed substation engineering, HV/LV system selection input, and the development of design standards, with testing and commissioning to ensure quality of supply.

Qualifications

• Detailed design engineering experience for substations.
• Protection systems and fault analysis experience.
• Experience with electrical wiring databases.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (Electrical).
• Balance between technical and commercial outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering of substations and switchrooms.
• Specify and provide input for HV/LV system selection.
• Establish and update technical design standards.
• Integrate HV and LV systems, protection into a fully functional system.
• Design and document cabling, lighting and lightning calculations.
• Test and commission substations and switchrooms.
