Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer based in the Perth CBD for a 12-month contract to lead detailed design of substation packages. The role covers HV and LV systems integration to meet reliability, performance, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include detailed substation engineering, HV/LV system selection input, and the development of design standards, with testing and commissioning to ensure quality of supply.

Qualifications

• Detailed design engineering experience for substations.
• Protection systems and fault analysis experience.
• Experience with electrical wiring databases.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (Electrical).
• Balance between technical and commercial outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

About The Role

full-time, Monday through Friday role based in the Perth CBD for an established company on a 12-months’ contract. The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the detailed engineering design of substation packages. The role involves designing and integrating High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems to ensure reliability, performance, and quality-of-supply requirements are met while delivering cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Performing detailed engineering of substations and switchrooms
• Specifying and providing technical input to selection of HV and LV system
• Establishment and continued updating of technical design standards
• Integration of HV and LV systems, protection systems into a fully functional system
• Design and documentation for cabling, lighting and lightning calculations
• Testing and commissioning of substations and switchrooms

Skills/Requirements

• Electrical Engineering Qualification
