Job summary

Metrofire Services is seeking a Dry Fire Manager/Supervisor in NSW to lead the Dry Fire division, including EWIS, exit and emergency lighting. You will manage about six technicians and subcontractors, oversee service programs, and maintain client relationships with consultants and facility managers.

You will plan resources, review reports for quality and compliance, and be ready to work on site during complex faults or busy periods.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the fire protection industry with a strong background in fire detection, EWIS and emergency lighting.
• Proven experience supervising or managing technicians and subcontractors.
• Strong working knowledge of current Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
• Commercial awareness: experience quoting, estimating and managing work profitably.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Dry Fire team of technicians and subcontractors.
• Own routine service, annual testing and defect rectification programs across our client portfolio.
• Plan work, schedule and allocate resources so programs are delivered on time.
• Review service reports, defect findings and compliance output for quality and accuracy.
• Prepare and approve quotations, scopes of work and rectification proposals.
• Oversee installation, upgrade and project works from quote to handover.
• Be the senior technical and escalation contact for clients, strata and facility managers, consultants and Accredited Practitioners.
• Keep the division compliant with AS 1851, AS 1670, AS 2293, AS 4428, the NCC and NSW fire safety requirements.
• Monitor division performance, including productivity, recovery, margins and outstanding defects, and report to management.
• Help recruit, onboard, train and mentor staff, and build a strong safety and quality culture.
