Job summary

Ipswich City Council seeks a Senior Digital Business Systems Analyst to shape enterprise platforms across the iVolve program. You will support, improve, and provide expert advice on key systems including Confirm, WorkDay, Aurion and Beakon within asset management, safety, HR and payroll modules.

You will liaise with stakeholders, map requirements to user stories, coordinate SaaS upgrades, and help drive roadmaps and incident resolution.

Qualifications

  • Teritary qualifications in IT, Business, or another related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and SCM modules within an ERP.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical skills with process mapping and documentation expertise.
  • Strong ERP configuration and optimization knowledge.
  • Ability to run small projects/enhancements for Enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements, map processes, and develop user stories.
  • Advise stakeholders on system capabilities and limitations.
  • Configure simple system customisations and collaborate with developers.
  • Oversee SaaS upgrades, testing, and ITIL change processes.
  • Contribute to roadmaps and future enhancements.
  • Manage major incidents and complex problems with IT teams and vendors.

About The Role

As Senior Digital Business Systems Analyst you will play a key role in shaping the future of critical enterprise platforms that support the delivery of services across the organisation. In this ongoing position you will join the Digital Business Systems team and be responsible for the support, continuous improvement and provision of expert advice for our key systems deployed through our iVolve Program of work.

About The Role

Our iVolve program currently covers Asset Management, Safety, HR and Payroll and looking for experts with experience in at least one or more of these four areas, preferably with experience in Confirm, WorkDay, Aurion and/or Beakon.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with key stakeholders to understand requirements, create process flows and user stories to assist in the enhancement process
  • Acting as a liaison to the business, providing expert advice on the systems potential, functionality and limitations
  • Developing simple configuration and approved customisation of the systems, collaboratively working with developers on more complex changes
  • Managing the upgrade of the SaaS solution, coordinating testing, communicating with stakeholders, ITIL change management and being responsible for the process end to end
  • Developing roadmaps and have input to the future enhancements and initiatives of the system
  • Managing major incidents and complex problems to completion, working with internal IT teams and vendors as required

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or another related field
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the functional side of Finance and SCM modules within an Enterprise grade ERP
  • Great communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and engage with stakeholders and vendors
  • Strong analytical skills with an expertise in mapping processes and documentation
  • Strong technical knowledge of ERP applications functions and how they are best used and optimised
  • The ability to run minor projects/enhancements for Enterprise applications efficiently
  • Experience in configuring and enhancing one or more of the following applications - Confirm, Workday, Aurion and or Beakon desirable
  • Experience in configuring and enhancing Enterprise Application for one or more of the following modules - HCM, Asset Management, Payroll and Operational Health and Safety desirable
