Job summary

Ipswich City Council is seeking a Library Services Manager to lead a passionate team in planning, developing and delivering quality library services across multiple locations. You will drive strategy, empower staff and build strong partnerships to meet community needs. This fixed-term role offers an attractive remuneration package with 12.5% superannuation and leave loading.

Closing date 1 October 2026. Applicants should hold a professional qualification and a current Queensland C Class Drivers

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification and/or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Current Queensland C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication, interpersonal and library service skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the practices and procedures for project management, operational management and strategic planning.
  • The ability to work in line with our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership.

About The Role

As Library Services Manager you will lead a passionate, professional and self-motivated team in the planning, development and delivery of quality library services.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
