Job summary

Ipswich City Council is seeking a Supervisor to lead a field-based team delivering maintenance programs for parks and open spaces in Ipswich, Queensland. The role focuses on shaping landscape presentation and liveability across the city through hands-on leadership and program delivery.

Responsibilities include developing maintenance plans, coordinating contractors and resources, and planning weekly schedules.

Qualifications

  • Current C Class Driver's Licence requirement.
  • MR Class Licence desirable.
  • QLD ACDC Licence or be able to obtain within 6 months.
  • Immunisation against Q Fever required.
  • Must pass respirator fit test before wearing respirator.
  • Ability to work in line with safety and wellbeing values.

About The Role

As Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead your team in the delivery of maintenance programs for parks, open spaces and roadside corridors. This is your chance to make a visible impact on the presentation and liveability of landcsapes across the city while leading a dedicated field-based team.


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Develop and implement park and horticultural maintenance programs

  • Lead and support your team to complete maintenance schedules and parkland projects on time and to a high standard

  • Coordinate contractors, materials, and machinery for programs and parkland development projects

  • Plan weekly and daily work schedules/routines


About You


  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence

  • Current MR Class Driver's Licence is desirable

  • Current QLD A.C.D.C Licence or be able to obtain within 6 months of appointment

  • To undertake this position, you will need to be immunised against Q Fever

  • Workers must pass a respirator fit test before they start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment

  • The ability work in line with our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
