Townsville City Council is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the ITS Strategy and Delivery Team in Townsville. The role delivers systems and database analysis for Council IT systems, focusing on design, data pipelines, and deployment of new software.

Position Type: Fixed-Term Full-Time, September 2026 – August 2027 with possibility of extension (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)
Salary Range: LGO7 ($113,019 - $119,946 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

The Systems Analyst is a critical role in the ITS Strategy and Delivery Team and is responsible for the provision of effective systems and database analysis capabilities in the development and operations of Council IT systems. By applying specific and deep technical skills in the analysis, technical design and management of Council’s Business Systems, as well as efficient database design and delivery, this role is able to support and deliver Council’s Business System solutions. Also Contributing as a technical specialist to the selection, technical design, configuration and implementation of new system software.
