Job summary

Buildkite is seeking a remote Support Engineer in the WA timezone to help enterprise customers resolve highly complex CI/CD, software, and infrastructure issues. You will collaborate with Software Engineering teams at Canva, Uber, and Airbnb to unblock critical workflows and contribute to scalable tools and proactive solutions.

Qualifications

• Customer-centric approach to delivering world-class support.
• Technical skills in Bash, Ruby on Rails, or Golang.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (Linux, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving and autonomous work style.
• Excellent communication across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Resolve highly technical CI/CD, software, and infrastructure issues for enterprise customers.
• Provide support through Slack, Zoom, Email, Plain, and Community Forum.
• Lead customer-facing retrospectives and planning to improve Buildkite experience.
• Identify opportunities to prevent future issues and design proactive solutions.
• Contribute to and maintain open source tools such as Bash plugins and Golang utilities.
• Publish documentation updates and proactive communications to improve customer journey.
• Act as a voice for customers to shape product and process improvements.
• Own and improve support workflows and team delivery.
• Share learnings with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment.
• Mentor peers and foster inclusive team culture.
