Job summary
CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the health, performance, and reliability of large-scale distributed systems. The role involves on-call rotations, upgrades, and building automation to enable self-healing across a global platform.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in SRE/platform engineering, strong cloud experience (AWS/OCI/GCP), and proficiency in Go, Python or Java. This remote Australia-based role offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities to impact security
Qualifications
- 3+ years in site reliability, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations.
- Experience operating large distributed systems.
- Exposure to capacity planning and resource optimization for infrastructure.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java or similar).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, or GCP) including compute, storage, networking, IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor health, performance, and reliability of distributed cells.
- Perform upgrades and scaling of LogScale clusters and microservices.
- Develop automation scripts to reduce toil and enable self-healing.
- Contribute to monitoring with SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and alerting.
- Troubleshoot production issues with cross-team collaboration.
- Mentor teammates and participate in knowledge-sharing.
