Job summary

CrowdStrike in Australia is seeking a Senior Engineer to own the NG-SIEM Serverless Cell Platform, ensuring health, performance, and reliability of a data-intensive security system. You will operate a cell-based LogScale cluster, scale the fleet, and develop automation that enables self-healing at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or infra operations.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java) for automation.
• Experience with cloud IaC (Terraform, Pulumi) and Kubernetes.
• Strong written/verbal communication across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, performance, and reliability of LogScale cells and respond to incidents.
• Upgrade clusters and microservices with ring-based rollouts and recover from failures.
• Build monitoring with SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and alerting for rapid troubleshooting.
• Write Go microservices and automation scripts to reduce toil and enable self-healing.
• Collaborate with product engineering and support to troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and drive continuous improvement.
