Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer for the NG-SIEM Serverless Cell Platform based in Australia and fully remote. You will own operational management of LogScale cells, develop automation, and scale the security data platform to support hundreds of petabytes daily.

You will join a distributed, high-ownership team, participate in on-call rotations, and drive self-healing improvements while collaborating across time zones to stop breaches.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations.
• Experience with capacity planning, resource optimization, and scaling operations for large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, or similar) for automation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for runbooks, incident reports, and cross-time-zone collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health, performance, and reliability of LogScale cells; respond to incidents and participate in follow-the-sun rotations.
• Upgrade LogScale clusters and microservices using ring-based rollout strategies and recover cells when failures occur.
• Build monitoring with defined SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and dashboards for rapid troubleshooting.
• Write Go microservices and automation scripts to transform manual operations into automated workflows.
• Collaborate with product engineering and customer support to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate platform changes.
• Grow through mentorship opportunities and exposure to large-scale distributed systems challenges.
