Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and continuously improve the infrastructure and delivery pipelines across our payments environment. This hands-on senior engineering role requires expertise in automation, cloud infrastructure, deployment and observability.

You will champion AI-assisted monitoring, support engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Around 5+ years in a DevOps or equivalent engineering role.
• Experience with AWS (GCP is a plus) and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong automation, scripting and CI/CD capabilities.
• Mentoring and collaboration across teams.
• Knowledge of observability and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable deployment pipelines and automation.
• Lead system integration activities and deployment readiness.
• Improve DevOps processes and mentor junior engineers.
