Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement and optimise our scalable infrastructure and integration pipelines across cloud environments. You will drive automation, observability, and AI-assisted monitoring while supporting engineers across the team.

The role focuses on secure, high-performing software delivery with emphasis on deployment automation, system reliability and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS or equivalent; cloud/DevOps certifications desirable.
• Around 5+ years in DevOps or similar engineering roles; AWS preferred, GCP secondary.
• AI-enabled tooling for software delivery and operations; ethical implementation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, observability and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software components and integration services.
• Lead system integration across configuration, testing, deployment for reliability.
• Provision and optimise infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud.
• Build automation to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate release and deployment activities; ensure production readiness.
• Drive improvements in DevOps tooling and mentoring junior engineers.
