Job summary

NSW Department of Customer Service in Parramatta seeks an experienced IT Delivery Lead to oversee software development and agile releases for a technology transformation program. The role involves AWS Cloud, microservices, Java, ReactJS and managing a high-volume payment/financial management system.

You will drive requirements, plan releases, coach teams, and partner with squads to ensure timely delivery, high quality user experience, and effective governance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate degree in IT, computer science, information systems, project management or engineering.
• 8+ years of IT delivery experience using Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD.
• SDLC/ITIL knowledge; IT PM/agile delivery certifications desirable (CSM/PSM).
• Experience in banking or payments is highly regarded.
• Strong release and deployment management and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Source, analyse and establish business requirements and IT scope to meet release timelines.
• Maintain squad capacity and forecast talent for upcoming tasks.
• Plan and deliver products using Agile/Lean practices to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Communicate release health, backlog priorities, velocity and dependencies to governance forums.
• Remove impediments to improve flow and productivity.
• Collaborate with other squads on resources, environments, testing and release management.
• Act as Scrum Master in delivery teams and coach Agile/Lean behaviours.
• Promote CI/CD and DevSecOps practices across teams.
• Build trust-based relationships with team members and stakeholders.
