Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand is seeking a senior Business Development Manager to lead identifying, shaping, developing and capturing strategic opportunities within the MFC portfolio across the region.

The role collaborates with customers, industry partners and internal stakeholders to drive growth and deliver new capabilities, with emphasis on complex, major pursuits in defence and security.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business development professional and strategic leader.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.
• Commercially minded, strategic and comfortable operating in an international environment.
• Knowledge of MFC technologies in defence or national security.
• Experience leading major bids, captures or strategic pursuits.
• Knowledge of the US Government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process.
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of the MFC Australia and New Zealand business development and growth strategy within the BD team.
• Identify, assess and prioritise strategic business opportunities across the defence and national security markets.
• Contribute to the shaping and capture of major opportunities, from early customer engagement through to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customers, government stakeholders, industry partners and internal stakeholders.
• Act as a central point of contact for MFC strategy and business development activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Drive collaboration across MFC Lines of Business and the broader Lockheed Martin organisation to maximise growth opportunities.
• Provide strategic, objective assessments and recommendations to senior leadership on market opportunities, competitive positioning, risks and probability of success.
