Hudson is partnering with a Queensland Government agency to recruit a Senior Data Migration Engineer to lead the migration of complex legacy data into Microsoft Dataverse as part of a major digital transformation. The role is hands-on, requiring strong SQL skills and extensive experience with enterprise data migrations.

You will design, build and test repeatable data migration pipelines, work with architects and stakeholders, and ensure secure, accurate data transfer.

Qualificações

• Significant experience delivering complex data migrations in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience migrating data into Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong SQL skills across data profiling, extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Dataverse data structures, relationships, lookups, alternate keys, security and data loading dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft data and cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform dataflows, Power Query and Azure SQL.
• Experience building automated, repeatable and auditable migration processes.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent tools for source control, backlog management, defect tracking and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and supporting multiple migration and testing cycles.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain data models to support business intelligence and reporting.

Responsabilidades

We are partnering with a Queensland Government agency, seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer to join a major digital transformation project, helping deliver a modern enterprise platform and migrate complex legacy data into Microsoft Dataverse.

Working within an Agile delivery team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, testing and executing repeatable data migration processes from SQL-based source systems into Microsoft Dataverse. You'll work closely with architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders to ensure data is migrated accurately, securely and reliably.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong SQL skills, proven enterprise data migration experience and a solid understanding of the Microsoft cloud and Power Platform ecosystem.

Contract Details

• Contract: Initial engagement through to October 2027, with a potential six-month extension.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Location: Brisbane CBD,1-2 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Significant experience delivering complex data migrations in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience migrating data into Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong SQL skills across data profiling, extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation and troubleshooting.
• A solid understanding of Dataverse data structures, relationships, lookups, alternate keys, security and data loading dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft data and cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform dataflows, Power Query and Azure SQL.
• Experience with migration tools such as KingswaySoft, SSIS, XrmToolBox, Configuration Migration Tool or equivalent.
• Experience building automated, repeatable and auditable migration processes.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent tools for source control, backlog management, defect tracking and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Experience

The following experience will be highly regarded:

• Appian-based SQL databases, case management systems or workflow data migration.
• Microsoft Fabric lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, notebooks or Dataflow Gen2.
• Migration of documents, attachments, notes, activity history and complex relationship structures.
• Data governance, lineage, privacy, records management and migration audit requirements.
• Relevant Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, SQL, Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certifications.
