Job summary

Troocoo Pty is seeking two Senior Data Migration Engineers to design, build and support repeatable data migration processes from Appian-based SQL sources into Microsoft Dataverse within a Queensland Government technology transformation project.

You will work with architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders to deliver auditable migration pipelines and reliable data flows that enable a modern, cloud-based platform and improved services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience migrating data into Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 or Power Platform.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud data tooling (Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Power Platform dataflows).

We’re partnering with a Queensland Government department to engage two Senior Data Migration Engineers for a major technology transformation project.

Joining this critical project during the build phase, you’ll design, build, test and support repeatable data migration processes from Appian-based SQL source systems into Microsoft Dataverse.

Working closely with architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders, you’ll help deliver reliable, auditable data migration processes that support a modern, cloud-based platform and improved business services.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring strong hands-on data migration engineering experience, ideally within complex enterprise environments, along with:

• Proven experience migrating data into Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong SQL skills covering data analysis, extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud data tooling, such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform dataflows, Power Query and Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of Dataverse data structures, relationships, lookups, alternate keys, ownership and data load sequencing.
• Experience with migration tools such as KingswaySoft, SSIS Integration Toolkit, XrmToolBox or equivalent.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting data quality issues, migration defects and complex technical dependencies.
• Experience working in Agile teams, using tools such as Azure DevOps for backlog management, source control, defect tracking and release support.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues, risks and solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

Highly Regarded

Experience with Appian data models, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse or Warehouse environments, complex document and attachment migrations, data governance, or relevant Microsoft data engineering certifications will be advantageous.
