Job summary

Saab Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Data Management Team Lead in Adelaide to govern, control and deliver critical information across Defence programs. You will lead a high-performing team, drive frameworks, and ensure secure data handling throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to implement best-practice data management, while fostering continuous improvement and strong stakeholder engagement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Management within Defence, engineering or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience leading Data Management teams and delivering services across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of document control, records management, information governance and secure data handling practices.
• Experience managing classified, export-controlled, commercially sensitive information.
• Experience implementing Data Management frameworks, workflows and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Data Management professionals.
• Oversee document control, records management, Safe Hand activities and configuration tracking.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Data Management frameworks, processes and governance.
• Partner with project and engineering teams to ensure compliant management and distribution of information.
• Develop and maintain Data Management plans, processes and work instructions.
• Support business growth through resource planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Champion a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
