Saab Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a senior Configuration Management Team Lead to steer CM across defence programs from Adelaide, SA. The role involves leading a team of CM professionals, embedding governance, and ensuring robust baseline control and change management throughout the lifecycle.

You will partner with engineering and project leaders to drive CM excellence, mentor staff, and implement CM frameworks. Flexible hybrid work arrangements may be considered.

Qualifications

• Extensive CM experience across complex defence programs.
• Experience leading or mentoring CM teams.
• Strong working knowledge of EIA-649 Configuration Management principles and practices.
• Experience establishing and governing CM frameworks across multiple projects.
• Expertise in baseline management, change management, configuration audits and engineering data management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, across project, engineering and functional teams.
• Experience with PLM, engineering data management and enterprise business systems.
• Exposure to IFS Applications or similar ERP/PLM platforms.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Configuration Management professionals.
• Allocate and prioritise team workload to support multiple projects and business requirements.
• Drive the implementation and adoption of Configuration Management best practices across the organisation.
• Provide expert guidance on baseline management, change control, configuration status accounting and audits.
• Facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and governance activities.
• Support Project and Engineering Managers in establishing and maintaining project and product baselines.
• Develop and maintain CM plans, processes, procedures and governance documentation.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of IFS Applications and engineering data management practices.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen CM maturity and business capability.
• Act as deputy to the Configuration Manager as required.
